British Air Avios Can Be Shared with Family and Friends

British Air recently made a change to their policy on sharing your Avios Points with others. Previously Avios could only be shared by members residing within the same household. Under the new rules, the Head of Household can create and manage a Family and Friends list of up to five family members and friends that do not live in the same household.

You can also make cash and reward flight bookings for them. Your family or friends do not need to be members of the Executive Club to benefit. There are no residential or geographical restrictions on who can benefit.

If you are a British Air Avios member you can create your family and friends list here.
