Colleen Bessel is a freelance travel writer and photographer, currently residing in the lovely town of Port Moody, just outside Vancouver, British Columbia. Retired now from a lifelong banking career, Colleen spends her time travelling and exploring this amazing planet. When her feet are on the ground she concentrates on her passions: writing, photography, art and family.
The great thing about life is you get to reinvent yourself. Like a good book, life has chapters. And as the author you get to choose the path and the course your life takes. And you don't have to know how it will end up. You see, life is about the journey, not the destination. Or at least it should be. And Colleen is embracing the journey, having travelled extensively since retiring and experiencing unforgettable adventures from hiking The Great Wall of China and riding elephants in the jungle of Thailand, to hiking Machu Picchu in Peru and camping at a camel fair in rural India.
Colleen has had her travel stories published in print and online, such as The Vancouver Sun, Travel Post Monthly, Vacation Rental Travels and Canada.com. Follow her journeys online at www.comewithme2.com.
